Welcome Center, Shaw Artists Market & Main Stage: Pick up a printed event map and guide, see and buy the work of 14 DMV artists working in diverse media, and enjoy live performances.

Performances: 7 PM— WPFW’s DJ Lance Reynolds sets the mood. 8 PM—Grammy award nominated progressive Hip Hop artist Christylez Bacon and guest artist. 9 PM—Ace Ono and her band. 9:45 PM—Batala Washington female drum corps. 10:15: Quintessence fire and bubble spectacular. 11 PM—Dance Party with DJ Lance Reynolds.

Do-It-Yourself watercolor painting led by artist Sydney Buffalow allows kids to explore their creativity and create watercolor paintings. Paper collage making led by artist Le’Chaun Linthicum. 3-5:30 PM—Screen printing demonstration and FREE bandanas by Masfotoes. Face painting by TBA. 4 PM—Drag story time performance by Ricky Rosé. Remember and write an experience that provides a momentary relief of healing. (Outdoors).

9 PM—#LoveShaw Parade begins with a performance by Batala Washington female drum corps. The band will travel north on 7th Street then west on Rhode Island Avenue for a closing performance on the West Plaza of Banneker Academic High School.
