Due to the restrictions on large gatherings imposed by the District of Columbia government to help control the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s festival will be virtual.

The Art All Night DC festival returns to Shaw on September 25, 2021 from 7:00 PM to 3:00 AM as a live, in person event. The festival was a virtual experience in 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions on large gatherings. Attendance at the 2019 in-person event in Shaw was approximately 30,000.

Shaw is where Art All Night DC began in 2011, and 2021 continues the tradition of presenting performances and installations indoors and outdoors, in public buildings and businesses. Three-story-tall video projections by Robin Bell, a parade led by female drum troupe Batala Washington, DC, step dance performances, do-it-yourself acrylic and watercolor painting, a fashion show, dance parties, cabaret performances, new mural unveilings, live painting by noted dc artists like Aniekan Udofia, art installations by DMV artists like Ira Tattelman and much more will fill the festival's eight hours.

All Art All Night DC in Shaw events are free and open to the public, and no reservations or tickets are required.
