Shaw is where Art All Night DC began in 2011, and 2022 continues the tradition of presenting performances and installations indoors and outdoors, in public buildings and businesses. Video projections by Robin Bell, a parade led by female drum troupe Batala Washington, DC, step dance performances, do-it-yourself acrylic and watercolor painting, a fashion show, dance parties, cabaret performances, new mural unveilings, live painting by noted dc artists like Aniekan Udofia, art installations by DMV artists and much more will fill the festival's eight hours. For the first time, an Art All Night Shaw Kid’s Zone will offer children and youth age-appropriate activities before the festival begins and during the first hours of the evening.
All Art All Night DC in Shaw events are free and open to the public, and no reservations or tickets are required.
