Due to the restrictions on large gatherings imposed by the District of Columbia government to help control the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s festival will be virtual.

Art All Night Shaw returns on September 24, 2022 from 7:00 PM to 3:00 AM as a live, in person event, with a pre-festival Art All Night Shaw Kids Zone from 3:00 to 6:00 PM.
Shaw is where Art All Night DC began in 2011, and 2022 continues the tradition of presenting performances and installations indoors and outdoors, in public buildings and businesses. Video projections by Robin Bell, a parade led by female drum troupe Batala Washington, DC, step dance performances, do-it-yourself acrylic and watercolor painting, live music from Grammy-nominated progressive Hip Hop artist Christylez Bacon and DMV favorite Ace Ono, a fire dance spectacular by Quinyessence, dance parties, cabaret performances, new mural illuminations, live painting by noted dc artists like Aniekan Udofia, a glow-in-the-dark foam experience, wrestling matches from C3W Wrestling, art installations by DMV artists and much more will fill the festival's eight hours. For the first time, an Art All Night Shaw Kid’s Zone sponsored by Events DC will offer children and youth age-appropriate activities before the festival begins and during the first hours of the evening.
All Art All Night DC in Shaw events are free and open to the public, and no reservations or tickets are required.

Take advantage of the scores of outstanding restaurants and bars in Shaw that are making food and beverages available for dine-in and takeout and delivery for enjoyment at home during the festival.
Noted DC muralist Aniekan Udofia will be live painting a mural commissioned for the festival, symbolizing this year's festival theme, "Tomorrow is Today." The theme also inspired internationally-acclaimed video projection artist Robin Bell's work commissioned for the festival, "Future 22.".
